State Rankings

Does your state make the grade? Hospitals across the country showed great variation when it comes to patient safety: how effective they are at preventing errors and avoiding harm. Here states are ranked based on the percentage of “A” hospitals they have compared to the total number of hospitals that operate in that state. Maryland is not ranked because they are not required to publicly report their hospital safety data. To learn more about the Hospital Safety Score, click here.
